How do we help with insurance claims?
We document the damage, the cause and every step of the work, and we share that record with your adjuster so the claim can be reviewed quickly. We're not your insurer or a public adjuster, and we can't promise what your policy will pay. We give your adjuster the evidence needed to make that decision.
What we provide for your claim
- Photos and video of the source, the water and every affected area, taken before we move anything
- A moisture map showing how far water spread behind walls and under floors
- The water category and class, based on the IICRC S500 standard
- Daily drying logs with moisture readings and equipment used
- A written scope and itemized invoice in the format adjusters use
Direct billing
Whether we bill your insurer directly depends on your policy and the job. Some claims are set up so the insurer pays us and you pay your deductible. Others work as reimbursement, where you pay and the insurer reimburses you. We explain which applies before any work begins, so there are no surprises.
Steps to take when you file
- Stop the water and take reasonable steps to prevent more damage.
- Photograph everything before cleanup.
- Report the claim to your insurer and write down the claim number and adjuster's name.
- Call us to start water removal and drying. Waiting for an adjuster's visit before drying usually makes the damage worse.
- Keep receipts for emergency work, hotel stays and added electricity.
- Share our documentation with your adjuster, or let us send it directly with your permission.
What insurance usually covers
Most homeowners policies cover sudden, accidental water damage such as a burst pipe or failed water heater. They usually exclude slow leaks, maintenance problems and outside flooding, and often limit mold coverage. Our guide on whether homeowners insurance covers water damage explains the details.
